At workshops full of regroupers, I’m often asked what I have to say to people who simply don’t feel ambitious anymore.
“I’m willing to believe I can still be a success at everything I ever wanted, but what if I don’t want to anymore?” George, a retired college professor, said.
To George and everyone like him, I say, “Congratulations. You’ve moved beyond the drive that fueled your youth and you’re ready to start living. You’re past wanting the world to give you the praise you weren’t able to give yourself. And now, finally, you can do what you want.”
