For that to happen, you must develop and nurture the seed, planting it in proper soil, assuring it gets water, and trying to make it the best flower or the best cabbage possible. It is impossible, however, for a cabbage seed to turn into a flower.

The student must trust that the teacher knows what he is doing. If you don’t have that kind of trust, you should find another teacher. Part of the learning process is to try and understand why the teacher says something or has you do something. You must seek your own enlightenment about why anything in your training is done. That enlightenment must be personal, and it must be achieved by you alone to truly understand things. If I explain everything to you without you thinking about it, then the training is worthless because it doesn’t properly engage your mind.
