It continues the story of Rick Deckard and is the sequel to Blade Runner 2: The Edge of Human, which was itself a sequel to both Ridley Scott's 1982 film Blade Runner and the book upon which the film was largely based, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick.</p>
