Enkarra28 июля 2014Книга про детей, немного жестокая, что придает ей больше реалистичности. Магии здесь нет вообще, разве что только той, которую воображаешь сам. Терабития - это вымышленное королевство, как Нарния. Только персонажи К.С. Льюиса действительно были в Нарнии (в книжной вселенной естественно, а не в реальности. Я же не псих), а Джесс и Лесли просто создали себе свой уютный мирок, в котором не было бед и врагов. Каждому человеку нужно место, где он чувствует себя нужным, защищенным, в спокойствие; место, где можно отдохнуть от тяжелого дня. Да и детям-то проще вообразить новый мир и поверить в него, чем взрослым, чьи головы забиты повседневными заботами. Терабития - это плод воображения и крепкой дружбы Лесли и Джесса, секрет, предназначенный только для них двоих. Казалось бы ничего не может нарушить эту идиллию, пожалуй только кроме того, над чем люди не властны. Я живу в своем "куполе", в который не пропускаю никакие спойлеры, поэтому я не ожидала такого окончания, может только что-то внутри меня (интуиция? логика? мозги?) говорило, что не может быть все так чудесно.
I thought it was a simple tale, where a child suddenly discovers a magic door/hole/way/portal to wonderland full of unusual things and goes into it to explore new lands. But it isn't.
"Bridge to Terabithia" is a story about an ordinary boy, who lives in a small village with his big family. This family isn't very friendly or close, the parents are always busy, thinking about the ways to get some money for food, the older sisters have their own problems and the younger ones are just babies. So the boy, Jess, doesn't have friends. But everyone needs at least one friend. And then, he finds a best friend in a girl, whose family have just moved into the neighbor house.
Jess and Leslie create their own magic land, Terabitia, where they can rule and do everything they want. I've already seen the film, and there are more magic (special) effects than in the book. Because in the book, magic isn't the main thing. As I see it, the major idea is the value of friendship and that nobody is insured from death, neither adults nor children.
Most children think that they are immortal, that anyone can die, except them or their folks. But it isn't true, as you all know. We all gonna die and most people are scared stiff of that. I think we shouldn't spend a lot of time thinking about death, if we can't do anything with it. I think we should live, spending time with our family or friends, doing things that we enjoy (reasonably, of course).
So, "Bridge to Terabithia" is a good story, I recommend it. Thanks.

I thought it is the simple tale, where child suddenly discovers a magic door/hole/way/portal to wonderland fool of unusual things and goes into it to explorer new lands.was (you should've used backshifting there), a simple tale, a child, full (you used a word with completely different meaning instead), explore (there should be a verb, right? and what you used was a noun); I'm also not sure if you can say 'goes into it', I'll just leave it the way it is

In my view, the major idea is the value of friendship and that nobody is insured from the death, neither adults nor children.I'd replace 'in my view' with something like 'as I see it', because your version seems wrong but I don't know if I'm right; just 'death' without any article

I think we shouldn't spend a lot of time thinking about the deathagain, no article needed in that case
