  Decision is always irrational. Decision is marvelous and we are Gods of this world around us.

  The digital era is here. Is the next step a digital life without a body? Perhaps, we will have a chance to talk with ourselves in other universes, but for what? However, I guess the most important question by Ted Chiang, what should we do if we found evidence of God's plans, but it would be a disappointment for Earth. What would be our next step?

  As for me, the most important reason to give the 5-mark is a space for thinking and discussing in the story. There are plenty of stories with such a trait.

  I want to emphasize "The Lifecycle of Software Objects", "Omphalos" and "The Truth of Fact, the Truth of Feeling". These stories give different emotions and thoughts.

  The Lifecycle of Software Objects asks the question of mortality, what to do with it. After reading, I have felt sadness and frustration. I guess, after a few centuries, people will invent a way to copy our personality to the free space of the Internet. If it was today, I would never regret losing feelings in case of digital transformation. Even this way of immortality allows being close to your relatives and observe the development of humanity.

  The Truth of Fact gives controversial thoughts about a clear, precise and solid memory. The main character starts with the point that something should stay in the past since it gives people the capability to forget negative emotions and forgive, however sometimes it can significantly distort the truth and mislead your attitude towards close people.

  Omphalos tries to discuss God's plan and what people would do if scientists found another explanation of our existence on the planet. Most of the time religions tell us that Earth is the middle of everything, and it explains our existence. Still, there is always a chance that we allow ourselves to live in the illusion of being unique in the universe. But the point is that people are strong enough to make the meaning of life on their own, and we always have a Decision. The decision is a miracle, and no one can take away it. The Decision is always subjective, irrational and marvelous

  I decide to be happy, this is my meaning of life. So be it.
