Знаешь, этот город сожрет тебя с потрохами, если ты ему позволишь. Не позволяй.

Ведь именно ради этого многие и бросают свою старую жизнь и приезжают в большой город, верно? Чтобы начать все с начала. Стать новыми людьми. Просто для меня все оказалось несколько буквальнее, чем для большинства.

Даже если я во что-то не верю, это не значит, что оно не может испортить мне жизнь.

Manny’s been in New York for less than an hour and yet he knows, he knows, that cities are organic, dynamic systems. They are built to incorporate newness. But some new things become part of a city, helping it grow and strengthen—while some new things can tear it apart.
