Читать далееI really like first part Time Salvager . It was full of adventure, main characters were on the run trying to save their lives. Very dynamic and logical.
Sequel started very slowly. Running did not end but became more organized, taking into consideration the whole tribe migrating to the Manhattan island in an attempt to run away from Co-op. People are still inspired by Elise who claims to save the world from the Earth Plague. But no one among main characters actually believe that two scientist without fully needed equipment can actually get some results.
James is fighting his demons but doesn't want to accept any help. He looks really miserable and pitiful, drinking sneakily in the corners. He started his new life but seems to have no power left to live it.
New characters appear from past, some old ones get their portion of attention. Even Kuo gets some new lines. Mother of time is still clever, dodgy and acting like diva. Story with James's former hallucinations is not really disclosed but continued.
But the main problem is that it is only second part before possible final! Why is it so popular now to write only trilogies? Middle books are usually the dullest part (((
