Ваша оценка<p>The narrator tells of events from his childhood. He lived as a boy in a rural area. A mother and son moved to the town, the mother uncommonly glamorous, the son badly dressed and neglected. The narrator and the other boy become close friends. The boy's mother marries the town marshal, who was then rumored to physically abuse both his new wife and her son. The boy is found dead, fully dressed, in the water of a local quarry. The narrator discovers a secret, which he and his sister keep to themselves.</p>
