Ибо суд руководствуется общими принципами, определяющими, что составляет доказательство, а что – нет, то есть руководствуется признанными, записанными в кодексах принципами и не склонен отступать от них в конкретных случаях. Несомненно, такое неуклонное следование принципу и полное игнорирование противоречащих ему исключений в конечном счете представляет собой верный способ обнаружения максимума поддающейся обнаружению истины. Следовательно, в целом такая практика вполне философически оправдана, однако верно и то, что она приводит ко множеству индивидуальных ошибок.
