Решила высказать свое мнение не о прочитанном, а прослушанном! (Надеюсь моя прослушанная аудиокнига мне зачтется).

Решила послушать Стивена Кинга и его произведение «Дети кукурузы», так как книгу я в книжных найти не могу (да, я знаю, что фиговый меня следопыт) и просто отдохнуть от рукописных текстов! И ещё моя усталость, так что простите!

Итак, сюжет очень простой семейная пара едут на машине, и выясняют отношения. Как по-классике ужастиков, они заворачивают не туда, и сбивают мальчика подростка, потом решают обратится в полицию, поехали в городок ближайший,но... Спойлеров давать не буду, т.к. вы ее захотите прочесть! Но все завязывается на кукурузе и кукурузном поле!

Мои впечатление, что само произведение оригинальное и прикольное. Но (да, я понимаю, что у меня везде но!) мне честно удивило, что кукуруза кушала лиц 18-19 лет... О чем думал Кинг, когда это писал....

Книга оставила во мне смутное впечатление! Так что 4 из 5 я поставлю!

Жутковатый рассказ.
Семейная пара Берт и Вики, пытаясь улучшить стремительно рушащиеся отношения, едет на уикенд на побережье. Постоянно переругиваясь за рулем, они сворачивают с шоссе и... И переезжают человека. С перерезанным горлом.
В общем и целом, некоторые действия показались мне нелогичными, если не сказать даже странными. Например зачем они запихнули труп в багажник? Наверное можно было записать координаты и передать их полицию?
Заброшенный городок без единого человека, бескрайние поля кукурузы, странная церковь. Все это вызвало разумные опасения у Вики. И вызвало неразумный холодок по спине у меня.
В итоге хэппи энда можно не ждать.
Вывод: Жена всегда права. Если жена сказала "давай ехать отсюда", поступите разумно и езжайте дальше.
