  Before you choose to read this, you should know:James Joyce made up nine 100-letter words plus one 101-letter word in this novel, the most famous of which is Bababadalgharaghtakamminarronnkonnbronntonnerronntuonnthunntrovarrhounawnskawntoohoohoordenenthurnuk. Appearing on the first page, it allegedly represents the symbolic thunderclap associated with the fall of Adam and Eve. This alone is enough for me to conclude that a book will be an ordeal, and that's putting it mildly. So, if you are musing whether to read this book or not, don't! Not a shred of doubt should be left before you start.
