The concept sounded cool. I enjoyed the setting and the claustrophobia of it. The pacing was decent.
But I guess I'm either too old or out of my YA era, as I couldn't bring myself to like or at least care for any of the characters. They are all kind of boring and unremarkable (except for one remarkable jerk) and rather annoying - which is fine for teenagers but I wasn't there for it. With little active plot and such a confined space, it's the characters that carry the book and these ones just couldn't.
Also, the whole plan was too convoluted, unnecessarily so, and involved too many things that had to go just right for it to work.
The villain is almost too cartoonishly evil and the ending is kind of corny.
Overall, the book reads pretty well, as the mystery mysteries and the suspense suspends, but I just wasn't very excited about it and couldn't get past the meh characters.
