Kind of meh, although a meh Christie book is usually still pretty decent.

The formula is there and I love the formula, but there isn't much there in this book apart from it. I do still love how Poirot solves everything by basically just talking to people and paying attention.

The beginning of this book is very slow. We immediately know almost for sure who will be murdered but it doesn't happen until almost half way into the book. The first half introduces the setting and the characters but it wasn't really intriguing or spectacular in any way.

The final dénouement by Poirot is also drawn out - he takes a long time explaining how many people wanted to kill the victin and could or couldn't have done it and it's very repetitive.

The final reveal of the killer is not very satisfactory.

It was still a somewhat enjoyable read just felt very slow and rather unremarkable.
