This was good but I was less excited than when reading the first book.

It gets a tad repetitive as we get more of the stuff we got in book one: Bobs clone themselves, go to explore new star systems that are livable or not, encounter some alien life, try to save the humanity.

There are plenty of interesting storylines in there, as well as elements of mystery and suspence (will the Deltan race survive? what's up with the Others?), but some of them were also somewhat meh - and, again, somewhat repetitive.

The Bobs also begin to blend in together a bit. Some Bobs and their storylines were quite memorable, but with others I sometimes struggled to remember if I had encountered that particular Bob before, is he a new one, is he a clone of a Bob who died, etc.

Oh, and the constant switching from Bob to Bob gave me a bit of a whiplash - and sometimes, when it was done right at the most exciting moments, it took all the steam out of certain plots.

But overall it was still quite qood and very enjoyable. I am definitely invested and looking forward to seeing how all the stories will develop (yes, even the rather meh ones).
