  Nickolas Sparks knows how to write a true heartbreaking love story. This book really hit home for me. As I read it, I went through a range of emotions: sadness, anger, acceptance, happiness, anger again... I didn't agree with the author, it didn't have to be like that, I thought, but still I couldn't put the book down, tears streaming down my face. And I believe that's what a good book should do: make you want to keep reading it. Sparks uses a very simple yet soulful language. His stories are relatable, and the reader is hurting with the character. I've read pretty much most of his novels, and this one is one of my absolute favorites.
