Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones
James Clear
Аноним13 марта 2025 г.This book worked for me and I really liked most of it - but I can also see how it won't necessarily be everyone's cup of tea.
The main idea itself wasn't that revolutionary for me. After years of trial and error (mostly error), I have also realized that the steps I take towards change have to be really small and gradual to make the changes stick.
This book reminded me of that, gave me a few well-structured ideas on what these small changes should look like if I want to introduce new good habits or get rid of bad ones, and gave me an overall nice push in the right direction.
Since I started reading the book I have introduced two new habits. It may not sound like much, but I had been struggling with even starting them for years - so that's already a win for me.
The book has some of the common self-help book issues like repeating one and the same idea many times throughout the chapter or peppering everything with relevant or not-so-much anecdotes, which can be annoying but was mostly okay for me in this book.
Overall, I've found it a nice tool that will accompany me on working on my habits from now on.
