  To me, this book was perfect for what it is—meeting and even surpassing my expectations.

  It has an absurd premise, wacky shenanigans, crass humor, deadly games and trials, video game and D&D vibes, pop culture references, blood, gore, and explosions.

  At the same time, it can be surprisingly poignant and deliver a devastating emotional punch.

  Somehow, these two sides don’t clash but instead enhance each other, making both the chaos and the emotional depth hit even harder.

  I love the author's inventiveness with all the mobs, ways to kill them, achievements, and items.

  I absolutely love Princess Donut and her relationship with Carl. Carl himself is okay too, I guess. :)

  Can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next!
