Very bad, I regret that I fell for the good reviews. Dark romcom? Where is the comedy? Banter was not bantering, the jokes only made me cringe. If the joke is not funny, you will not be able to gaslight me by making all the characters around giggle, unfortunately, it does not quite work that way.
Being in the head of the mmc was simply unbearable. I did not see romance here, they just wanted to fuck each other from the very first meeting. No, instalust is definitely not for me. But, you know, even this trope can be presented beautifully and at least convincingly, but here the romance was still weak and superficial, built solely on lust.
Btw, about the first meeting of the main characters. She spent a few hot summer days in a cage with a rotting corpse, and the first thing she thinks about when she sees some random guy is "I wish I could bite his bottom lip." Girl, that's disgusting. I just can't believe it. And this is not a spoiler, this is how the book begins. I should have already realized then that this would be bad and not read further.
Besides, our "wonderful" mmc eavesdropped through a wall in a hotel as the fmc masturbated, and then killed another guy for the same act, because how dare he, the woman already belonged to him, and it didn't matter that they were only seeing each other for the second time. In general, mmc regularly thought about her breasts, ass, and his dick, it was so annoying. That's all the "romance".
The sex scenes really killed me, I don't even want to comment on it, it's just cringe. Сan't say anything about the plot, unfortunately I couldn't enjoy it. But the idea was intriguing.
