Twists and turns of this masterpiece will truly show you how difficult the war times are for everyone. It doesn't matter who you are...an enemy, a child, a woman, or a noble resister...all of them are united by the same wishes and wants.
It's an absolutely phenomenal book, in my opinion. From the very first chapters up until the last one, you're captivated. You wanna know more, but at the same time, you're scared to know more. This book will leave you wondering about other WW2 survivors and their fate. It will traumatize you when you realize that this has actually happened in real life. The plot of this book definitely deserves an award...it's so good and so constantly-changing.
The cherry on top of this already brilliant book is the romance element to it that will leave you even more heartbroken.
I've not read such an incredible book in ages, so I definitely couldn't recommend it enough!
Even if you don't like historical fiction, you should read it...just give it a try, at least.
