Matthew Walker, PhD
sofia229 июня 2024 г.Well, everyone told you 8 hours of sleep at night is a must, but did anyone tell you why?
Absolutely astonishing new scientific studies results in the field of sleep that are smartly put together in an amazing self-help book!
Every one of us has heard all those tips about how to get a better night sleep. But has anyone known what happens to your entire being when we don't get enough sleep? There's so many consequences of getting just less than 7 hours of sleep nightly, and all of them are wisely and thoroughly discussed in this book, and also backed up with the scientific data, statistics, and results from the real experiments and tests.
It does start a bit boring in the first few chapters, but as I progressed through the book, it unfolded to be very interesting and eye-opening with the facts that scare you and make you reconsider your sleep-related life choices. I also absolutely adored the directness and honesty of the author by stating what he actually thinks about some spheres of life that neglect the importance of our slumber.
I genuinely couldn't recommend this book enough!
It's an absolute must read, I've already been recommending it to all my friends and have been rambling about every single chapter to everyone. It's one of those books that has to be read early in life to not ever neglect such a crucial part of our life — SLEEP.
100% a super-duper recommendation!1358
