    This book is a more popular science book than a self-help book.

    This book is a more popular science book than a self-help book. This is probably why it has only 4 stars. Seems like some people pick it up as a self-help book, and then find it hard to read.

    The first 70-80% describes how our happiness hormones work. Examples and comparisons with the animal world are pretty good.

    This is crucial to understand, as it helps to at least visualize the changes somebody wants to achieve with new habits.
