Paper Towns
John Green
Alera5 июня 2013 г.The boy is in love with the girl living next door. What can be easier?
But what at first seems to be a love story turns out to be so much deeper, that I still cannot find words.
I admire Margo. Paper girl is running from paper future. I can easily relate to her. I always look around and it just freaks me out that there is a route established by the society – you go to kindergarten, you go to school, graduate from college, get a job, get married and have a baby. And only then you can be pleased with yourself. Your life mission is accomplished. And if, Save you, God, you turn right or left from this path, something is completely wrong with you. At least this concept surrounds me all the time. And very often I just want to shout “Screw you all!” and leave just like Margo did. But unlike her I have an anchor I always come back to.
We all want to be seen as we really are, to have someone who will see through all these walls right to the heart. We do not want to be paper people. We have layers of personality, we can be mysterious, we can be fragile, and we sometimes just want to be free and fly to wherever we want to go.
The fullness of the personalities in the book is so infiltrating they may make you realize some wrong imaginations you've been making about people around you. This makes everyone more real than they had been to you before...
I just love this book full of depth, metaphors, all these "between the lines'!1812
