A book I did not enjoy, but had to endure. It is pretty much defined by two seemingly most frequent words - goom and doom. Ominous Conge river vibes for no particular reason, a pessimistic outlook on human nature. The story is full of hints and clues I couldn`t quite decipher. Who is Kurtz, why is everyone in the company so obsessessed with him? Why do the indigenous people behave the way the do? Too many questions, and no answers from Joseph Conrad.
