I have to admit that I had prejudices against the author before reading this book – if he knows English, if he is qualified enough. I am so sorry for that, Khaled – you are awesome! The book you narrated yourself has it's gorgeous atmosphere. You proved that the author himself can be perfect narrator!
The story about friendship, social unevenness, guilt, good and evil, politics, childhood, patriotism, emigrant's life in the USA, weakness, the fight against the fear, Muslim religion, literary arts and Afghanistan.
I cried in the end. Life goes on. Only ahead. This book reminds us that every moment is precious. And it can happen that the moments like now will never repeat.
This story showed that mental wounds are healing so slowly and to overcome fear and than to suffer physically is better for the soul than to tremble and to suffer mentally. It can happen that it's impossible to run away all the life. The life will find you and will teach the lesson needed to be learnt.
