I enjoyed how the book combined sarcastic dark humor and treating the victims with respect. I enjoyed the chapters being “instructions” on how to hunt and kill witches, although sometimes the content didn’t quite match.
The book is a tad podcasty, but well researched with lots of references if you want to explore further.
I think it’s also great that the book draws connections with the present, from literal witch hunts still happening in some places to women being silenced and deprived of their bodily autonomy. It was also really scary, though.
Overall, as someone who hasn’t read anything else on the topic, this feels like a good introduction, dispelling some of the common misconceptions about witches and witch trials and sharing stories of the accused.3 понравилось
