It was okay.
I liked the concept of suddenly finding out that your favorite books are real, but the execution was mostly just... okay. A bit tropey, with characters not really developed, but still somewhat interesting to read.
I didn't like: the book within the book (it's one of my least favorite things in books in general as they usually kinda suck, and this one did too); the way characters fall for each other almost immediately for, basically, being hot; the abscence of nuance - we have characters that seem really bad and really good, then it turns out that the bad ones are actually really good and vice versa, but there's never any nuance.
It is not for me to judge how well the topic of rape was handled as I've never faced this level of sexual assault, but it didn't sit well with me that the MC shared her experience with one dude and all her trauma seemed to immediately disappear. Also, the severity of the MC's trauma kinda clashes with the overall lighthearted tone of the book.
Overall, a fairly entertaining read but nothing in it really stands out or leaves a lasting impression.
