    Нужно иметь большой талант, чтобы за каких-то 60 стр. написать историю, которая затмевает некоторые фентези книги на 600 стр. И у Аликс Харроу этот талант есть.

    Вот честно, я не ожидала, что меня так зацепит эта история. Но что-то отозвалось и я уже второй день не могу выкинуть её из головы. Она очень красивая и трагичная, но при этом оставляет ощущение надежды. Тут даже будет интересный поворот, которого вообще не ожидаешь. И красивая любовная линия тоже есть. При этом текст не перегружен, всё на своём месте.

    Я в восторге. И теперь буду очень активно следить за творчеством автора.

Alix Harrow’s writing is tender yet fierce, weaving a tale that explores the deep yearning to be desired, the sacrifices made for love, and the power dynamics that define our lives.

    Despite being a short story, it feels as though I’ve lived through several lifetimes while reading it. The world is richly realized, the emotions raw and powerful, and the narrative so compelling that it gripped me from the start and didn’t let go. It’s a love story at its core—one that explores love as action, sacrifice, and an unyielding force that can heal and free us.

    This story is beautifully self-contained and yet leaves you yearning for more.

    He doesn’t move or speak, but he doesn’t need to. I know his desires by the pace of his breath and the tilt of his shoulders, by the shape of his jaw and the heat of his gaze. I know him, and in knowing him I love him, and in loving him I cannot do as he wishes.
