Симпатичная небольшая сказка, практически лингвистическая антиутопия в эпистолярной форме. Она не очень серьёзная и форма довлеет над содержанием, но как интересный эксперимент, практически книга-игра должна понравиться языковым энтузиастам.

This hit harder than I expected.

I was planning on reading a quirky book with some linguistic playfulness. What do you mean it read as a thriller and almost made me cry?

For a short book with a somewhat silly premise, it reflected too well basic rights being taken from people and various consequences of it.

The letters got a bit confusing at times. Yes, each one had a signature saying who was writing but the voices weren’t distinct enough, even before the limitations.

I was a little disappointed by the “okay, you can replace the forbidden letters with similar sounding ones now” by the end. I’d rather it went all the way.

Overall, a surprisingly emotional read with some linguistic fun.
