It's very vulnerable, being an artist, telling the truth like that, like we're doing now. When you're living your life, you're so inside your head, you're swirling around in your own pain, that it's hard to see how obvious it is to the people around you. These songs I was writing felt coded and secret, but I suspect they weren't coded and secret at all.

Obviously, I understood why she was frustrated. I mean, Daisy is shockingly talented. Like it will shock you, to be near it. Her talent.

It hurts to care about someone more than they care about themselves. I can tell that story from both sides.

It takes me right back. To those moments when the night is just starting, when you know you're about to get into trouble. It feels so good, the beginning.

You know, things like that, that kind of connection with a person, it is sort of like playing with fire. Because it feels good, to be understood. You feel in sync with a person, you feel like you’re on a level that no one else is.

One night, I picked her up out of the rocking chair and I put her in bed and I said, “You don't always have to wait up for me."

She was half-asleep but she said, "I want to. I like to."

It was a real reality check. That voice that whispers in the back of your head, You have been acting like an asshole.

People say that life keeps moving, but they don't mention that it does stop sometimes, just for you. Just for you and your girl. The world stops spinning and just lets you two lie there.

Look, Daisy was barefoot when it was cold, wearing jackets when it was hot, sweating no matter the temperature. She never thought before she spoke. She seemed sort of manic and half-delusional sometimes.

They were magnetic. That's the only word for it. Magnetic.

BILLY: At the end of the show I said, "What do you all say I bring Daisy Jones back out here and we play 'Honeycomb' for ya?"

DAISY: The crowd went crazy. The whole place started rumbling.

BiLLY: I could feel my microphone vibrating as they screamed and stomped their feet and I thought, Holy shit, we're rock stars.
