Luna did not seem perturbed by Ron’s rudeness; on the contrary, she simply watched him for a while as though he were a mildly interesting television program.

But as Ron continued to look bemused, a strange thought occurred to Harry.
“Can’t . . . can’t you see them?”
“See what?”
“Can’t you see what’s pulling the carriages?”
Ron looked seriously alarmed now.
“Are you feeling all right, Harry?”

seeing Hagrid again had been one of the things to which he had been looking forward most. But there was no sign of him at all.

The weather remained undecided

“Manners, Potter, or I’ll have to give you a detention,” drawled Malfoy,

a wizard who claimed to have flown to the moon on a Cleansweep Six and brought back a bag of moon frogs to prove it;

“Are you taking the mickey?” said Ron, frowning at her.

She laughed so hard that her magazine slipped out of her grasp, slid down her legs, and onto the floor.
