Look at yourself naked often.

I think I’m pretty, and if there is a mirror, I will look at it. That’s not to say that I don’t look in the mirror sometimes and think, Yuck, what a dumpster bitch, because I do. I have good days and bad days. But a lot of the time, I choose to like what I see, and a lot of times it’s not a difficult choice.

I’m writing this book so another fat li’l fatty somewhere can choose to love themselves too. Because the world can be cruel, so why not at least be nice to yourself?

Bodies are bodies.

Then I started to wear straight-up pants in the pool. I would swim around, soaking wet in my own fucking clothing. And the dumbest part was that I knew I wasn’t making myself look any thinner. I thought I was just sparing the world from having to look at my big dumb body.

Strangers love taking pictures for other people, because then they are the hero, and people love being heroes!
