Я бы не внесла книгу в топ любимых.
Хотя читается легко и интересно ,местами смешно, местами горько от людской несправедливости,а местами даже страшно,но чувствуется,что автор писал для детей и старался,чтобы у них не возникало вопросов после прочтения.
Не,ну я тоже люблю чтобы все понятно было ,но здесь мне не хватало художественности и замысловатости в тексте.Я согласна,что поднято множество проблем и можно говорить о многослойности романа,но как то уж очень слои эти аккуратно лежат,все на виду и очевидно.Герои строго положительные , отрицательные, и есть такие которые серединка наполовинку,вроде и не очень,но стараются.
Вместе с тем не отрицаю,что поднятые проблемы злободневны и спустя 100 лет почти.
Когда дочитала,думала о равных правах толерантности к другим, непохожим,людям.В прошлом веке были актуальны права чернокожих,сейчас немодно быть гомофобом.Чьи права будут отстаиваться в 22 веке ,куда движется мир?В голове сидит фраза учительницы из "Убить пересмешника" про то что "пусть они живут отдельно,а мы отдельно,а то скоро они начнут нас замуж брать)))
Фильм,кстати,я досмотреть не смогла.Книгу буду рекомендовать подрощенным школьникам.

21 место в Топ-100 на сайте. Честно говоря, думал, что роман "Убить пересмешника" вызовет у меня больше эмоций. А все потому, что перед тем, как взять книгу в библиотеке, нужно прочитать хоть несколько рецензий. Известное название, интригующее разум, а в итоге - всего лишь детская книга, которую, как мне сказала знакомая, в США читают в старших классах. Обычная занятная вещица для младшего поколения, но не более того. Сами по себе возникают аналогии с "Приключениями Тома Сойера и Гекльберри Финна". И даже потраченных на прочтение нескольких вечеров становится жалко.
Одним из немногих положительных моментов могу назвать довольно интересное описание отношения к неграм в США в сер. 30-х годов.
Если Вам больше 18, то лучше возьмитесь за что-то другое, а эту книгу оставьте в прошлом. Слишком простой язык, сюжет и композиция. Но если Вы все еще умеете мечтать и Вас не смущает целевая аудитория данного романа, то, может, и в 40 лет "Убить пересмешника" сможет удовлетворить Вашим запросам.

Прописная истина : история страны нкакладывает отпечаток на все сферы искусства; даже те произведения, которые избраны в качастве классического представителя литературы той или иной станы, предлагаются нам исключительно из таких позиций. Видимо, именно поэтому эта книга не произвела на меня впечатления. Я понимаю, что Хэмингуэй в произведении "Старик и море" писал не о безумном рыбаке, что и здесь в пересмешнике тоже вложен глубокий смысл. И до сих пор для афро-американцев этот вопрос стоит остро. И все-таки эта книга для детей. В ней эта проблема освещена предусмотрительно и осторожно, чтобы не напугать.

Плэтому лучше всего такие книги читать детям, а взрослые могут почитать Прислуга Кэтрин Стокетт для начала))))

I didn't plan to read this book, the topic it touches on is extremely alien to me. However, this novel appears too often in all sorts of quizzes - both as a guessed work and as a hint. At another recent game, I realized that whether I want to or not, I need to get acquainted with the novel.

The book didn't touch me at all. It seemed boring, naive and predictable to me. I don't know why the author received the Pulitzer Prize, I suppose - for the theme of the infringement of the rights of African Americans raised in the novel. Although on Goodreads I came across a devastating review by a black girl who wrote that the author doesn't understand anything about the problem of people of color, that the book was written by whites for whites. And I tend to agree with her.

The novel is written from the perspective of an 8-year-old girl. Harper Lee wrote herself and her childhood story into the character and the plot in general. And this is partly the problem for me personally. The child's thoughts irritated me and made me yawn, listening to naivety served up under the sauce of know-it-all and arrogance was unbearable. I was irritated by the behavior of the characters. The book is written in such a style to play on the strings of the soul of the younger generation, so that they think about what is good and what is bad. And for a child, a teenager, such a narrative may go down well, but for me, as an adult, all this was too naive, stupid and absurd.
The same mockingbird from the title appears twice in the novel. Both times - in the context of crimes: the first time - in the context of an innocent person, the second time - guilty, but presented as a savior and deliverer of the town from the villain, as a result of which he also cannot be touched. Smells like double standards, doesn't it? And it seems like in the context of the novel it's all logical and justified, but the aftertaste still remains.

Do I recommend reading this book? For an adult - no, for a teenager - maybe. If you, like me, need to get acquainted with the content of the work, turn on the audiobook at a slightly accelerated mode so that it all ends faster.

Задаются вопросы отношений отцов и детей, взросления, морали. Автор поднимает проблемы жестокости, аморали, бедности и необразованности.
Но никакая рецензия не сравнится с самим произведением, которое я настоятельно рекомендую к прочтению.

Тяжело мне дается классика, такого рода. Слишком скучно и монотонно. Очень скучно… Несмотря на это книга, затрагивает много тем.

Но у меня было ощущение, что я читаю не одну а две книги. Изначально детство, проблемы воспитания, восприятие этого мира детскими глазами. 

А далее пошла более тяжелая часть, в которой затрагивается тема о несправедливом обвинении темнокожих, о расизме. 

Но, что самое печальное эти две истории не складывались у меня в одну и было полное ощущение, что первое это из какой-то другой книги. Не было целостности для меня.
