The Winter Guest

This screenplay, adapted from Sharman Macdonald's play, is Alan Rickman's directional debut. This is a subtle, challenging, literary film. Emma Thompson's performance once again breaks the mold of what her audience has come to expect from her -- here she is a dark, moody character frozen in place. By all accounts it is a stunning film and much anticipated.
