No Hero

"No. It`s a lot more complex than that. We`ve remade the world into a safer place. There`s no arguing that."
"You`ve killed an awful lot of people."
"Sure. But imagine the suffering if there was still a South Africa today, or if we hadn`t forced the institution on the Black States in America. We`ve killed thousands so that millions could live today."

Yes, Joshua, we do save people. It`s good for business.

"Three days! When you`re "resting" for three days it usually means you are dead! Is he dead?"
"No, but he needs more--"
"If he rests any more he`ll start decomposing!"

I ask you again, one final time. How badly do you want to be a superhuman?

"No. I`m not a hero, Mr. Masterson. I just killed a man and I seem to be mostly over it already. That means I`m no hero. I want to make this country a good place to live. Like you did when you saved schoolhouses and enforced civil rights on the street. I want to stand up and say, yeah, I`ve decided I am capable of judging you, because some things are just right and some things are just wrong."

Some guy once said that becoming vigilantes meant we were declaring civil war on our fellow citizens. And, y`know, we were okay with that.
