I tried to reply but my voice failed me. No one had asked me before whether I preferred oranges or tangerines. My father never bought us fruit. My uncle and my husband used to buy it without asking me what I preferred. As a matter of fact, I myself had never thought whether I preferred oranges to tangerines, or tangerines to oranges.

Жанчына, якая працуе, баіцца страціць працоўнае месца і стаць прадажнай. Але яна нн ведае, што жыццё поастытуткі даражэйшае за яе жыццё. І жанчына расплачваецца за гэты страх, за ўяўную небяспеку сваім жыццём, здароўем, целам і розумом. Яна плаціць самым дарагім за самае нявартае. Я разумела, што ўсе мы – прастытуткі, толькі прадаёмся за розную цану.

І калі з іх вуснаў злятае слова «патрыятызм», я адразу разумею, што яны не баяцца Бога, а патрыятызм азначае, што сыны беднага люду зноў будуць паміраць за сваю зямлю.
