По словам автора, эта новелла - последняя история о Меган и Ясене. Ну и славно. У них все закончилось хорошо, и я не думаю, что нужны еще какие-то продолжения. Разве что с другими персонажами (от лица Пака, например :D).
Из аннотации — Меган с Ясенем едут на собрание Летнего и Зимнего дворов, но внезапно там появляется оракул с предсказанием о том, что ее будущий ребенок либо объединит дворы, либо уничтожит их. И теперь Меган должна принять решение, которое определит все будущее.
Сначала все было довольно скучно, происходило все то, что сказано в аннотации. Но затем появился Грималкин, и стало намного веселее. Этого кота просто невозможно не любить :D

“We meet yet again. Sooner than I had anticipated, but I suppose it is to be expected.” He shook his furry head, contemplating us both. “Why is it that neither of you can manage to stay out of trouble for a single season?”

Особенно, когда он говорит свою коронную фразу “I am a cat.” :D

“How are you able to be here, Grim? You’re not an Iron faery, you still can’t be in Mag Tuiredh without being poisoned, and I’m certain you didn’t take that journey to the End of the World for yourself.” Grimalkin snorted, as if such a thought was highly offensive. “How are you doing this?” I continued, frowning at him. “And if you say ‘I am a cat,’ I swear I will throw you off this balcony.”

“Looks like Furball actually pulled it off.”
“What did you expect, Goodfellow?” Grimalkin sauntered by, tail in the air, and did not look at us. “I am a cat.”

Когда появился Пак, моей радости не было предела. Замечательный, озорной персонаж. Даже он сам знает, что без него скучно :D

“It’s not the same without you.”
“Oh, I know,” he replied cheerfully. “I don’t see how anyone survives without me, it must be terribly dull.”

Почти каждую фразу Плута я читаю с улыбкой на лице :D

“Well,” Puck said cheerfully, forcing a rather pained smile, “it’s just like old times, isn’t it? You, me, ice-boy, the future of the Nevernever hanging in the balance…we just have to wait for Furball to show up and then it’ll be perfect.”
“He is already here, Goodfellow,” came a familiar voice behind us, sounding bored and offended all at once. “Where he has been for much of the conversation, waiting for you to see past the end of your nose.”
“Yep.” Puck sighed as we all turned to face Grimalkin. “Just like old times.”

If we all end up as llamas, I’m going to spend the rest of my life following you around saying ‘I told you so’ in llama-ese.”

Но несмотря на все его шутки и проделки, он остается очень милым и благородным ^^
И напоследок, думаю, Iron's Prophecy в некоторой степени является отсылкой к The Lost Prince (спин-офф "The Iron Fey" Call of the Forgotten), где героями являются брат и сын Меган.
