whiskyfake12 октября 2024Читать далееThank heavens, Mr. Bliss is the last children's story by Tolkien that I was planning to read so far. Once again, all the characters are essentially Tolkien’s household toys, which gives some insight into the intended audience — clearly young children.
The format is perhaps the most intriguing aspect: illustrated pages with captions, perfect for kids who are just starting to learn how to read.
As for me, I read it mostly to tick it off my list. Plus, it’s frequently mentioned in Tolkien: Artist and Illustrator, which also sparked my curiosity.
