Кармак плохого не посоветует
Автор просто и с юмором и картинками раскрывает тему создания читаемого кода. Прочитал по рекомендации Кармака (известного разработчика игр из id Software) в твиттере. Более вменяемых книг на эту тему пока не встречал.
