The Best Not-Really-Zombie Apocalypse Story Ever

This book is definitely making it to the top 5 of my 'Absolute Favorites For Life' shelf, and I must admit it beats John Dies at the End there.

Please, don't get me wrong, I love both stories, and both of them are a-freaking'-mazing. However, this one did for me what JDATE couldn't. It captured me from the first paragraph (which is saying a lot as I'm arachnophobic in the extreme) and didn't let me go even for a second. Really, my boss is so mad for all the things I messed up because I was too engrossed in this fantastic crazy universe.

Unlike JDATE, this one is more of an actual story. Surprisingly, it doesn't lose the incredible appeal of the first book, even despite the overall lower creepiness level.

I could try to list all the things I loved about it, but then this post will have a higher wordcount than the book itself. So I'll only restrict myself to saying...

    READ IT!

Whatever you do now, drop it and start reading, because this story is so worth a messed up project. It's funny, it's horrifying, it's touching, and it's totally awesome.
