    Bizarre story

It’s a very unusual book, both in the way it’s written and in the topics it goes into. The beginning really stood out to me — the descriptions of scents were beautiful, and if you appreciate perfumes, it’s genuinely interesting to read how the author brings every smell to life. Felt magical.

But as the story went on, it started to feel a bit uncomfortable and even “icky” at times. Some parts were extremely detailed in ways I wasn’t expecting, and the whole thing had moments that just felt like pure madness. It reminded me a lot of Kafka — that same “what is happening right now?” kind of feeling.

There is depth in the book, but it’s not something that’s obvious right away. You have to think about it and look a bit deeper to understand the characters and what the author is trying to show.

My only real complaint is that it’s longer than it needs to be. Some parts didn’t feel necessary and could’ve easily been shortened.

Overall, it’s a complicated book — interesting, unusual, beautifully written in places, but also strange and uncomfortable in others. I’m glad I read it, but it’s not exactly my cup of tea!

All I can say is: read it at your own risk. This book goes places!
