Some books touch your heart, but The Stationery Shop breaks it. This historical romance follows Roya and Bahman, two young lovers in 1950s Iran. Roya loves books, while Bahman is a passionate activist. From the start, we know their love doesn’t last, but the journey of how it all happens is emotional and unforgettable.
The book shows how one wrong moment can change a person’s life forever. We follow them for 50 years, seeing how their choices and the world around them shape their lives. The writing is poetic and full of emotions. The descriptions make you feel like you’re walking the streets of Tehran, smelling the spices, and hearing the protests. There are also a few surprising twists that make the story even more powerful. And yes, I cried. The book is so emotional that it stays with you long after you finish reading.
This book is so good. It’s beautifully written, heartbreaking, and unforgettable. Sometimes love is not enough, but it never truly disappears.
Highly recommended!
