definitely the best book of the series. the story is a good example of how easily even the brightest minds can fall prey to charlatans, how difficult it is to resist the crowd.
the book contains several plotlines that contributed to the main mystery. there are no unnecessary elements, all facts, actions and characters work as one mechanism. yes, the book is big, no, it can't be shorter without loosing something important.
the main characters develop throughout the story which makes them so humane and realistic.
the world of a cult is shown in the way that readers can easily put themselves in Robin's shoes and see the evil through her eyes.
all in all, it's a must-read. can't wait for the next book!2212
