oskv13 марта 2026Within a few days they had run out of ideas for what to do with their time. The beach was cold if you weren’t a surfer. Without their usual circle of friends, they weren’t bothered about seeing exhibitions. The city was so charming, so rich with history that their explorations of it felt samey and touristy, which wasn’t how they liked to see themselves. With nothing else going on around it, their work felt tedious. Eating out was cheaper than in Berlin, but there was also less variety. All the films there were dubbed and incomprehensible, and in any case the mere idea of going to the cinema felt like admitting defeat. They had rediscovered the abundance of time, but somehow it felt like time wasted. Enthusiasm eluded them, always just out of reach.
