Oksident17 января 2017Most francophiles, beside their general attachment to French customs and culture, have an additional fondness for a particular region or city: for landscapists it might be Burgundy, for monument-sniffers the Loire, for solitarists and hikers the Massif Central. Those who want to be reminded of a certain kind of England go for the Dordogne, where the Daily Mail is readily available. Many simply choose Paris, which might seem to sum everything up, and where – unlike in London – most people still have regional attachments as strong as their metropolitan ones.
