Читать далееTolkien: Maker of Middle-earth is a fascinating collection of artifacts that you might have read about elsewhere but rarely get to see. For example, the famous letter from Sam Gamgee or a glimpse at Lewis’s handwriting! Unfortunately, reading any of the letters is nearly impossible due to the unclear handwriting and the low resolution in the e-book. However, the fragments of Tolkien’s illustrations, especially from Tolkien: Artist and Illustrator, are presented in such vivid color and quality that some felt entirely new, even though I had seen them just days ago. It’s like a treasure chest, filled with everything from photos of Tolkien’s parents to his handwritten class schedules. Highly recommend it!
